Kabayel's promoter has been reported as working towards a September or October return in Germany, with a WBC/WBA unification against WBA champion Murat Gassiev named as the target. Gassiev has since publicly dismissed the reports as "fake news", saying he had heard nothing about it. Nothing is signed: no date, venue or broadcaster is confirmed.
