Firas Daud's OKTAGON debut ends in a split decision
Five straight knockouts took the Kurdish-German prospect to Liberec; Václav Štěpán handed him the first loss of his professional career.
Firas Daud arrived at OKTAGON 87 unbeaten, with five professional wins and five knockouts, three of them in the opening round. Václav Štěpán ended that run at the Home Credit Arena in Liberec, taking a split decision on scores of 29-28 and 29-28 against a 28-29 card for Daud. It was the first time the Gelsenkirchen featherweight had been past the second round as a professional, and the first time he had been beaten.
