Amedspor win their first Süper Lig match — and go top
Dia Saba scored twice as Amed's club beat fellow newly-promoted Erzurumspor FK 3-0 at home, opening their first top-flight season at the summit.
Amedspor marked their first match in the Süper Lig with a 3-0 home win over Erzurumspor FK at the Diyarbakır Stadium. Dia Saba scored twice, in the 53rd and 62nd minutes, and Gökhan Gül added the third in the 70th. The result put the Amed club top of the Turkish top flight after one round — first in the table on goal difference, in the club's first season at this level. Tickets sold out and the club released a further 1,980 for a full house. A first match, a first win and a first time at the summit, for a club that was in the second tier last season.
