Dalkurd FF
Soccer · Club · Borlänge · Sweden
“The diaspora club that reached Sweden's top flight — dormant since 2025.”
Dalkurd FF was founded on 26 September 2004 by members of the Kurdish diaspora in Borlänge, Dalarna, as a vehicle for integration and identity. Its rise through the Swedish pyramid was remarkable: from local football to Allsvenskan, Sweden's top flight, for the 2018 season, where the club finished 15th and was relegated. The fall was steeper. The club's operating company was declared bankrupt in August 2024, costing it a further demotion, and after a 2025 season in Division 4 it was excluded from the division by the regional football authority. In March 2025 Dalkurd paused all operations amid a severe financial crisis and has not played since. Qehreman keeps the club here in recognition of what it built — and continues to watch for news of it. If Dalkurd re-forms and returns to competition, it moves back to the active roster.
